Course description

The subject area of the Department of "Food Technology" belongs to the area of “Technology and Engineering”.
The curriculum has a direction the learning methods and techniques to improve the production, processing, manufacturing, inspection, certification and distribution of food in compliance with the national and European legislation (such as the EU Reg. 852/2004, 853/2004, 856/2004). For this purpose, the student learns to make use of biological, physical, chemical and economic principles, as well as of information technologies.
